Introduction

Our Privacy policy describes how the Vani app, along with its owners, affiliates and subsidiaries - collects, stores, uses, discloses, and processes information about you through our business activities, including our websites linked to this notice, the Vani app platform, and our marketing and sales efforts (collectively, our “Services”). It also provides essential information about your privacy rights.

Personal information we collect

We collect information that, alone or combined with other data we possess, could identify you (“Personal Information”) as outlined below:

  • Data collection in app:  All data generated by you as part of your usage of the app is stored locally on your device - we reserve the right to change this approach to a server-based storage model and strategy, if that helps us provide better services to our users - in such a case, we will update this policy and inform/notify our users accordingly.  We do not collect, transmit or use your name, contact details, or other personally identifiable information directly.  When you contact us from within the app, we may collect your email address and the content of your message (“Contact Us Information”) and anything in it that you choose to share with us (including any personally identifiable information).

  • Personal information via web site communication:  When you communicate with us, we may collect your name, contact details, and the content of any messages you send us (“Contact Us Information”).

  • Payment information: When you purchase or subscribe to our Services, we do not collect billing details such as your credit card number, expiration date, billing address (“Payment Information”).  We leverage and use Apple's and Google's subscription management and payment processing workflows, via the APIs and SDKs they provide (and in some cases using third party libraries).  This means any personal or financial information you provide is captured by Apple in their AppleID account setup, and Google in their Google Account setup (under appropriate sub-sections, such as payment methods etc), and they handle the processing of your payments.  They don't share personally identifiable financial or payments information with us, other than your status as a subscriber and your entitlements etc, which are anonymized and not personally identifiable.  We may access aggregated anonymized data (not personally identifiable), provided by Apple, Google, and other third party libraries and services that we use, for analytics purposes.

  • Information collected through our social media pages: We manage social media pages on platforms like Facebook and Instagram (“Social Media Pages”). When you interact with our Social Media Pages, we collect Personal Information you choose to share with us, such as your contact information (“Social Information”). Additionally, the companies hosting our Social Media Pages may provide us with aggregated data and analytics regarding usage of these pages.
